Supercopa – First Leg

The Supercopa started with a surprising (perhaps by many) a slap by former Barça player, David Villa. Villa recently joined Atlético de Madrid for the new season. Barça was criticized for selling the former forward for a low price considering that he is a World Cup winner and his long trajectory of awards; however, he noted his value by scoring the first goal during the first half of the Supercopa. Then, minute 29, Busquets was knocked down and he was taken out of the field. Minute 46, the Barcelona boys were not able to dominate the game;nonetheless, Atletico did not conceive more goals after Villa’s start. This first half was a relatively a weak first half for both teams. ATM has an advantage because they did score a goal. On the second half, Barcelona retuned with other players such as Neymar, the Brazilian promise and Fabregas substituting Messi. Leo did not play for the second half for medical prevention. It is the first time, Messi was substituted during a final in his professional career. Let’s hope it is not a serious injury.

Then, the game was building its momentum and Neymar tied the game! Neither team managed to score another goal after Neymar. The game ends with a tie. The second and final leg of the Supercopa is on August 28. Don’t miss it! It will be a showdown at Camp Nou.
