FC Barcelona vs. Spartak Moskva

The Catalan team awaited for the Russian team to hit the first leg of the Champions League at Camp Nou tonight. The first minutes of the game were settled that Barcelona dominated the game fully, but not validating a goal yet. Later on, Pique had to leave the game because he’s possibly injured, while Song replaced the Catalan player. One of Barcelona’s rising star, Tello scores the first goal of the night. The celebration was short-lived because Alves attempted to block his opponent by scoring his own team. The first half ended in a lousy tie of 1-1.

The 45 minutes of the second half shifted differently. It seemed that Spartak Moskva was going to win the game after they scored their second goal. Then Messi, as their fans sat on the edge of their seats cheering for the Argentinean forward. The third goal scored by Leo reminded me of the famous 2010 World Cup goal by Carles Puyol.

FC Barcelona

Barcelona ended with their first three points from the Champions League. The game had its ups and downs, but the Catalan team stayed at home victorious. The final score of 3-2 gives enough fuel for Villanova’s team.
